St. Edward's Crown, the Imperial Crown of Great Britain and the one with which the sovereign is crowned. It was made during the reign of Charles II, 1660-1685, to replace an earlier one destroyed in the Civil War, said to have been worn by Edward theConfessor, 1042-1066.
